The Huntington Y will be offering a community project through its Kid’s In Motion program that will provide recreational education programming with mentoring and tutoring for at risk area youth with all scopes of abilities. This program will meet in a renovated outdoor play fitness area to educate participants on fun fitness for kids in Kindergarten through 7th grade. Nutrition education will be provided and the program will operate a community garden. This will provide a safe after school alternative for these at risk youth with a focus on unique fitness training, nutrition, mentoring and tutoring. The play space will be available outside of programming as a community shared space.
The Huntington Y has been awarded $25,000 in tax credits vouchers for the 2016-17 NIP program year! Businesses and individuals that donate to this program are eligible to receive up to 50% of the contributed amount in the form of West Virginia state tax credits. Donors may use the credits to reduce liability for the:

- Business Franchise Tax
- Personal Income Tax
