HHS Facilities
The Huntington High YMCA Youth/Senior building is located at 917 9th Street, across the street from the May building in the old Huntington High School. This facility was renovated to enable the YMCA to gain youth presence in the neighborhood and allow children to ride their bikes or walk to the YMCA to congregate and participate in physical activities under a the safe umbrella of the YMCA and its values.
We have developed at this location an attractive Childcare facility which has playrooms, computer rooms, classrooms for the educational components of the program, and a playground. Located in other parts of the facility are two full size basketball gymnasiums, a game room with pool tables, air hockey, and table tennis.
A fitness center, weight room, and walking track are also available to meet all fitness needs.
A Senior Fitness Program and an exercise program for the Cabell Wayne Association of the Blind are also held in this building. This facility serves youth, seniors and individuals with disabilities helping to develop healthy spirits, minds, and bodies.
